At
the heart of Timber Commerce Logistics is the
Delivery Route Planning Module:
This module is fed with all relevant information from production and
order entry, and will inform you in a clear and detailed manner
about all open orders and planned delivery routes. Collate all
individual orders, items and deliveries in part. From this the
Logistics Module will calculate the ideal delivery route for you in
each instance. The link to the shipping company master data will
allow you to easily select a suitable shipping company.
At the press of a button, compile your bill of lading, bill of
parcels and delivery route lists for the optimized delivery route or
get an overview of the delivery route for the time period required.
Helping hands

Issue
your service providers with the credit notes pertaining to their
delivery route and handle dispatch to the shipping company.
If you enter the relevant information into the Service Provider
Invoice and Shipping Company Estimate Module, an overview of the
freight costs will be compiled for you contingent on the delivery
route and vehicle type. With this information, in the future your
dispatcher will be able to select his service providers efficiently
sorted by price. On the basis of similar information the Service
Provider Invoice and Shipping Company Estimate Module will allow you
to compare your shipping companies with one another at the press of
a button.
Effective communication
At a mouse click the Notification System Module lets
you send transport enquiries to a number of shipping companies: From
the shipping company estimates our software will recommend the best
possible shipping company for you – and will confirm the delivery
route via appropriate means (email/fax).
Using master data pertaining to customers and shipping companies in
conjunction with the order entry, you will be able to compile a pdf
document containing complete customer coordinates and information on
delivery items for each case.
Via pre-selected means, the Notification System Module will also
automatically notify your customers of the good news of delivery
date, delivery items and shipping company in detail.
All on board?

Mit
With the Load Control Logistics Module you can balance the planned
quantities or packages designated for one delivery route with the
packages actually loaded.
Your staff on site will simply scan in the identification number on
the bill of parcels. The module will compare this information
automatically with the packages of the scheduled delivery route. All
orders that have not been loaded or whose quantity is wrong will be
highlighted by our software to be processed by you. The module will
also inform you of deliveries in part included in this delivery
route and will also inform you about further delivery routes.
Getting down to serious business

The
Loading Module lets you compile the bill of lading for a delivery
route that has already been selected and checked. The module will
adopt the information of the bill of lading items from the delivery
route schedule selected in the program. Alternatively you can also
have the bill of parcels of the loaded packages scanned in – then
the software will collate the order and packaging information
associated with this to compile a bill of lading.
Aside from the loaded packages being clearly shown, you can amend
any further cost positions manually, as well as allocate additional
costs to individual delivery items.
It will then be easy for the software to compile the complete bill
of lading, which will be forwarded as a receipt to the Timber
Commerce Sales Module, as well as issued as a printout receipt for
the truck driver.
Always on the right track

The
Route Planning Module determines the
optimal delivery route based on the information filed and displays
this in a digital map.
Should you come across toll roads in the process, you can of course
also do an alternative calculation based on either the Interstate
Highway System or other roads.
The calculated delivery route will quickly give you an overview of
the journey, as well as rest stops for the
driver(s).
Furthermore you can quickly examine alternative delivery routes or
add further routes to customers already visited.
Even the smallest truck has space
available

The
Graphic Loading Planning Module will come up with optimised loading
of your truck based on a completed delivery route schedule and will
take into account the order in which the customers will receive
delivery.
Do a loading simulation beforehand instead of numerous attempts by
the forklift driver. Optimize your truck to carry on average between
2% and 5% more goods!
The Graphic Loading Planning Module:
takes into account all orders and items for one
delivery route,
features all orders customer specific and
refers to a truck database for the purposes of Optimization.
It calculates suggestions for optimised positioning of packages –
you can move the packages manually as well or add further packages
to your delivery route.
Benefit from being able to take a virtual look into the truck from
four different special directions with different camera angles. With
this you always have control over the exact location and position of
a package.
Additionally in each case our software visualises the biggest open
space still available – this is where your Sales Department can
become involved to action full capacity utilisation with further
orders.
Professional navigation
Scania connect has been specially
developed for the fleet management of the manufacturer Scania. The
navigation system communicates with our software on a permanent
basis – and informs you about the current status of a delivery
route: Which customers have already been supplied? How much time in
total will the delivery route take? When will the next delivieries
take place at all the customers still to be visited?
As an alternative to Scania connect you can transfer all the
delivery route information to the
Tom Tom
mobile navigation device. Aside from the bill of ladling, the
driver will also receive a SIM card with all the delivery route
information. There is no need to take down anything by hand and the
driver can set off immediately.
No more queuing up
With the
Loading Time Module
you can save the shipping company waiting times and additional
charges for your account: Get an overview of all the loading times
scheduled for a specific period of time.
As in the case of an appointment diary, the shipping company can
determine before arrival in which time slot the loading station will
be available and immediately book this in advance. A graphic traffic
light system shows the shipping company when a specific time slot is
available.
Using the Loading Time Module your dispatcher can advertise delivery
routes that are still open and make shipping companies an
appropriate offer – everything takes place flexibly and non-location
dependent.
